About our Wooden Furniture 

Norfolk Oak designs and manufactures the most beautiful wooden furniture from solid North American Hardwoods from the Northern Appalachian Mountains of New England.  We craft bespoke pieces created from customers’ own designs and ideas, or perhaps from our own. They are without doubt some of the finest additions to a home you can imagine.

Nearly all of our furniture and kitchen cabinet work is undertaken in Ohio within the largest Amish community in America.  The Amish are rightly famous for their beautiful furniture making skills and appreciation of fine timber.  We work very closely with two Amish family firms who make the most stunning furniture to standards others can only dream of.  With traditional skills passed from father to son over countless generations, an inherent desire to make only the best, and the deepest level of understanding and respect for the raw materials I have ever seen, it is perhaps no surprise to find Amish furniture so irresistible.

Whilst most of our soild wood furniture is made from American White Oak, American Black Walnut or American Black Cherry, we do in fact make furniture from any sustainable hardwood native to North America.  Each piece is unique, yet the process from order to delivery is normally under twelve weeks.

We also stock a number of dining tables in a variety of sizes and styles, as well as wooden stools, chairs and occasional tables, all in American Black Walnut, American White Oak and American Black Cherry.  Again, each piece of our furniture is unique – our stock tables each have their own photographs so you can choose the one with the grain structure or design features you really like.  There is no such thing as a ‘representative’ generic image here.
