You will immediately notice these Oak ‘Single Wide Stave’ worktops are completely different to any other retailer. Constructed with large planks which run the entire length of the worktop, they are quite stunning. Norfolk Oak are the only company to make Single Wide Stave Worktops up to 4.5 metres long with single planks, so you can imagine the quality of timber required to make these oak worktops must be simply the finest; FAS or furniture grade. Only by running enormous quantities of this FAS Oak timber do we find enough planks to make a handful of these worktops. Indeed, from 100 tons of FAS grade Oak timber – which itself has already been selected from 750 tons of raw Oak, we only get enough to make a handful of these super long worktops. Each single wide stave oak worktop is unique.

Our Oak comes from the Northern Appalachian Mountain region of Vermont and New York State, famous for the fabulous ‘fall foliage’ where the autumnal leaf colours are quite amazing. This area is famous in the cabinet making industry for the very finest American White Oak, so it was a natural choice for us to be that specific. The delicate ‘feathering’ you can only get with American White Oak proved simply irresistible.

As the actual manufacturer, we control every step of the manufacturing process, from the selection of each individual tree, to the delivery of the finished worktop. Not only does this make us unique, it gives us the depth of knowledge to really understand customers needs, and how we can fulfill their dreams.
