Solid Wood Stools
Mervyn, who you may have read about on our dining chairs page, makes all of our stools in his wonderful giant barn behind his farmhouse in Ohio. Mervyn is a fifth generation Amish furniture maker, who specialises in just making stools and chairs. Thanks to the lovely scoop in the top, they are incredibly comfortable, just perfect for sitting up at an island or bar.
As with all our furniture, stools and dining chairs being no exception, we only use timber which we have hand selected and dried ourselves. It's our attention to detail which gives every Norfolk Oak piece, from simple stool to complex wardrobe, such a wonderful feel.

Oak Stool
Our Oak stools have a real feel of strength and longevity about them. Just like their dining chair counterpart, they're lovely and weighty. Made from American White Oak, harder, denser and with a more delicate, beautiful grain structure than any other Oak, it is no surprise that it is the most sought after by fine furniture makers the world over.
Walnut Stool
Norfolk Oak has built a tremendous reputation for the quality of its Walnut, and when you look at one of our Walnut stools, it's easy to see why. The elegance and definition of the grain is so delicate it seems impossible for a timber of such beauty to be as hard and durable as it is. A Walnut stool from Norfolk Oak really is something quite special.
Cherry Stool
Cherry from the Northern Shores of Lake Erie has the most amazing warmth and redness to its grain structure which makes for especially beautiful stools. Cherry always seems to feel warm to the touch which probably owes as much to the richness of its colour and patina as the nature of the timber itself.
