Norfolk Oak Flooring and Stair Parts

At the weekend my partner and I decided to venture out to the city of Ely. Not long ago we spoke of how there are some amazing historical locations on our doorstep that we take for granted and yet never visit. It was as a result of this conversation that we decided that we should get into our car and put action to our words.

Once our tour of Oliver Cromwell’s house had concluded we then went for a walk around Ely Cathedral. Having gone to school here it was a tour of nostalgia yet equally my eyes were open to things I hadn’t appreciated before. As we walked around I couldn’t help but be fascinated by the architecture and how it stood the test of time. A building of absolute splendour that has been lovingly looked after still looks as spectacular as I imagined it would have looked when it was built around 1000years ago. It was during this appreciation that my thoughts made a natural turn to architecture and how timber is a multi-purpose material in design. Not only do we use it for our worktops and furniture here at Norfolk Oak but also for flooring and stair parts.

Our solid American White Oak is known for its strength, durability and beauty. It is the ideal timber for a solid wooden flooring. We manufacture our oak flooring ourselves here in the UK and as a result of this are able to control every step of the grading process. We produce two classes of Oak flooring based purely around plank length and width. We focus on producing the finest solid Oak flooring with a tight grain, low colour variation and a lack of knots and defects in long, clean, wide planks. Our Oak flooring is the perfect way to add traditional touches to your home.

As we manufacture everything ourselves we also offer flooring in our American Black Walnut. This is as high quality as our Oak flooring and looks fabulous in situ. With its dark tones and fantastic grain pattern this flooring looks superb with light palette interior features.

Alongside our fabulous flooring we also make stair parts. This allows for perfect continuation of your flooring to other levels of your environment. Being in control of the design of your stairs enables you to achieve traditional or more modern finishes through the use of intelligent design.

At Norfolk Oak we are able to work with you to help achieve those personal touches that you require and the fantastic thing about our timber is that, like Ely Cathedral, if it is well looked after and cared for, it too will stand the test of time and outlive us all. It is the notion that what we design and manufacture now will be further enjoyed by future generations that inspires me and the rest of us at Norfolk Oak to help you achieve your design goals.

True quality and fantastic craftsmanship is what makes
