Over the long weekend I made a visit to the city of Cambridgeshire. As the sun was shining I parked my car a distance away so I could enjoy a leisurely stroll in to the centre. The parks were filled with people playing sports and sunbathing, the rivers were full of punters and canoeists and the high streets were busy with shoppers. As I don’t live too far from Cambridge I find myself going here regularly just to have some time away from my normal environment. I love going to my favourite restaurant Wagamamas and ordering food to take away so I can sit in a busy park watching the world go by. I love being able to sit with a glass of wine while listening to music overlooking the river watching the punters try to stay on board (I’ve fallen in a few times myself!) and I also really enjoy having a browse through the shops. Like most people I like to find a good deal from time to time and it is with this that I thought I would show you a few of my favourite items in our clearance event.
Norfolk Oak manufactures a wide variety of timber products and as a result of this we have a strong presence in magazines and at design shows. For these we purposefully make pieces to showcase our work. Therefore half of our goods in our clearance event are ex display or from photo shoots and shows. They are all in great condition unless otherwise noted and are incredible value for money.
A favourite of mine is the beautiful Walnut bedroom furniture – all the products shown in the attached photograph are for sale at a reduced cost. All the prices include VAT and the Walnut emperor bed has over half price off. The reason that I love the Walnut bedroom furniture is that it holds the opportunity to fit in both modern and traditional settings making it multi-purpose and allowing for you to change the design in your home without needing to replace existing furniture.
Another product that I love is the Iroko drainage board. This is a beautiful timber that won’t look intrusive on your existing worktop – even with a contrasted timber such as Walnut. The board is portable making it fantastic for those with smaller work surfaces and has 35% off its original cost.
Lastly I wanted to show you our fabulous Walnut dining table and chairs that are also heavily discounted. We currently have a few different sizes available and there is a bundle price for those that would like both table and chairs. Walnut is a high end timber that looks stunning and elegant and these tables will very much become a focal point. However if Walnut isn’t to your taste we also have both Cherry and Oak tables in the clearance event.
We have a limited stock and so unfortunately when it’s been sold the only way in which you could purchase an equivalent item is to have it made to order and therefore pay the original cost of the piece (around two to three times the cost you see on our clearance).
We are regularly updating our clearance event and we have many other products available so even if you don’t see something here that you like then there are alternative options for you. Certainly for myself I know that when there is something that I’d really like and it is at a reduced fee it really is worth considering making a purchase. The few times that I haven’t, I have returned to the shop a while later ready to commit to the buy and I have been too late and missed the opportunity forcing me to either pay full price or to walk away regretting my initial decision to wait.
So as we return from a lovely long weekend I hope that those fortunate enough to have had some time off had a fantastic weekend. I believe that we all need time to recharge our batteries and have a bit of ‘me’ time so that is exactly what I did when I went to Cambridge and after a stressful few weeks it was exactly what I needed.
