I urgently needed a great looking kitchen worktop for a new beach house that was due to receive its first holiday guests in just two week's time. Luckily I found Norfolk Oak on Google and liked the look of the wide boards used for the Oak Super Stave worktops. I was a little sceptical that they could deliver it within 10 days, but Victoria assured me that they could and was very helpful in ensuring that the design of the details around the oven and sink were just right. The worktop arrived in perfect condition on the agreed date and a few days later, after oiling, we fitted it perfectly without any problems. The quality is truly excellent and it looks great. Just wanted to let you know that I found the workshop and collected the breakfast bar this afternoon without any problems. What a wonderful location they work in ! I also just wanted you to pass on to whoever is in charge that the chap I met at the workshop was exceptionally helpful and accommodating and a real credit to Norfolk Oak ! He answered my questions and gave me advice on oiling etc - he even found me some spare sandpaper and a couple of rags for me to use as I didnt really have a clue what was needed! So once again many many thanks and I will be happy to recommend you to anyone who wants a quality wood product. The service has been excellent from start to finish, from speaking to Jane on the telephone, who was very patient with me, to your clear emails and finally the chap in the workshop. We received your timber yesterday morning and the fitters have been in today to fit it. Just a note to say that we are delighted with it and it has transformed our kitchen. The timber looks excellent quality and I am glad we spent the extra and avoided the 40mm generic oak that we were initially tempted by. I have never written before, to any company that has provided me with a service or product to say thank you, until now that is. I would like to say a big thank you, to you and all of your excellent staff at Norfolk Oak. My first point of contact with your company was the website, which was very helpful and informative to someone like myself buying a solid wood worktop for the first time. I had visited many other websites and could very easily have purchased an inferior worktop from those companies and been none the wiser over the quality and durability until it was too late. My next point of contact was Ami in sales who was extremely helpful and very very patient, considering I changed my mind at least 5 times over which worktop that I wanted and had asked her 101 questions in relation to my choices. The reasons that I had so much trouble in making a decision was because I have a small L shaped kitchen and it was very important to me to find a worktop of high quality and durability that would provide me with as much worktop space as possible and at the same time give me the wow factor that I was looking for. I had considered every possible alternative granite marble slate etc. etc. and when I found your website I found it very difficult to make my mind up due to the fantastic choices that you offer. When I finally made my mind up and chose the 60mm End Grain Oak Worktop both Ami and yourself were brilliant in all aspects of ensuring that I would be happy with the finished product. My last point of contact was your delivery driver Richard who was very patient and polite despite the fact we kept him waiting 25 minutes as we were not ready when he arrived. He then proceeded to help us carry in and place in position a very heavy worktop which without his help we would have not been able to do. The worktop has exceeded my expectations , it is beautiful and as strange as this may sound it is like a piece of art or a piece of expensive furniture. It has so much detail in it and it lifts an ordinary kitchen to another level. The wow factor has most certainly been achieved. You should be very proud of your staff, from sales to manufacture to delivery they have been superb and I only wish that we had more British companies like yours. Yours sincerely

Dear Norfolk Oak... I did not have the opportunity of examining the delivered goods that day... Upon returning home late the same evening I was horrified at the resulting worktop which in my opinion was not oak...I understand that for some extraordinary reason your company dispatched a walnut worktop and up-stand hence the vast disparity between such and that of our new kitchen. You have most kindly agreed to immediately despatch a replacement Light Oak Stave worktop and up-stand which all things being equal I should receive today before 3pm... Your personal attention and immediate resolution of this most unfortunate problem is very much appreciated...In conclusion may I convey my sincere thanks to you for immediately resolving this problem once you were fully acquainted with the overall facts and made aware that the original despatch was that of walnut as opposed to oak. I will make a point of further emailing you once the replacement has arrived. Finally may I also confirm that I find it most consoling to deal with a company obviously of major repute who once acquainted with the problem have no hesitation in making amends. In this day and age I am extremely impressed, so much so that I have fully acquainted my kitchen suppliers and similarly the self employed kitchen fitter with the relevant facts and hopefully some form of recompense and further orders to the benefit of your company will result.
