Our shaker style dining chairs, along with our wooden stools, are the only pieces of furniture not made by us in England. They are actually made by a super Amish chap called Mervyn. Mervyn and his family have been making stools and chairs, in fact only stools and chairs, for five generations from their wonderful classic giant wooden barn behind their farmhouse in Ohio.

We provide Mervyn with all the raw materials he needs for the dining chairs, dried and selected by us at the mill in Ohio. In this way we can control as much of the manufacturing process as possible, and the results speak for themselves.

To say these dining chairs are comfortable is a gross understatement. The seats are carefully double scooped and finished in such a way that they almost feel moulded. Our shaker style dining chairs come either as side chairs or armchairs.

Oak Dining Chairs

Our Oak dining chairs are incredibly dense and strong, and actually weigh quite a bit for such an elegant looking piece. All finest American White Oak, they are immensely practical and work in with almost any combination of colours.

Walnut Dining Chairs

Norfolk Oak has built a tremendous reputation for the quality of its Walnut, and when you look at one of our Walnut dining chairs, it's very easy to see why. Graded to eliminate sapwood and defects and to a degree most other manufacturers can only dream of, it is almost impossible to stop touching and feeling the back of these Walnut chairs.
